The town of Beaudesert, reached by a one hour drive from Brisbane or the Gold Coast, is the centre for the Scenic Rim Regional Council. This district covers an area of 4 256 square kilometres with a population of just over 34 000 residents. Aptly named, the Scenic Rim boasts magnificent scenery, thanks to the presence of several National Parks.
The Scenic Rim stretches from the Gold Coast hinterland in the east, south to the border ranges; it encompasses the former Boonah Shire to the west, through to the areas of Rosevale and Peaks Crossing. The Scenic Rim Region experiences sub-tropical climatic conditions typically with warm wet summers and mild dry winters. Temperatures range between daytime averages of mid 30oC in summer, to low 20oC in winter. The town of Beaudesert is located 46m above sea level. The average annual rainfall is 916mm.
Beaduesert looks set to hold its own in the current economic climate. Extensive commercial and industrial developments are taking shape. The 2008 declaration of the Bromelton State Development Area will have significant growth benefits for Beaudesert. On the domestic front, housing affordability in the district is very good - providing excellent opportunities for first home buyers and investors. Beaudesert is also gaining a world wide reputation for its equestrian facilities. To many in the horse industry, Beaudesert is known as the “Thoroughbred Capital of Queensland.”
Beaudesert and the Scenic Rim - a beautiful place to visit, a solid place to invest and a great place to live.
